On Saturday, May 18th, Omer Leibovitz returns to Rockwood Music Hall to perform an intimate solo set. The Israeli born, raised in West Africa and New Jersey songwriter, acoustic guitarist, and frontman of NYC’s electric-blues rock band Courtesy Tier, pits together his worldly influence and pop arrangements to create a sound that’s rich in mood.
Rooted in the folk tradition, Leibovitz’s sound goes beyond “the man and his guitar” vibe. He puts emphasis on poignant lyrics and emotive finger picking, enticing listeners to want more. His set list is comprised of originals and stripped-down covers like The Rolling Stones’ “Dead Flowers” and Townes Van Zandt’s “Waiting Around To Die”, each one echoing and reinforcing Leibovitz’s position as one of New York’s underground gems.
Omer is currently recording a new EP of originals that we hope to hear later this year. For more information about his music click here.
